Left: Bangus – Boneless Grilled Milkfish. Right: Tocino & Longaniza w/ white rice.
When visiting Uncle Mike’s Place in Chicago, make sure to try something off of their Filipino Breakfast menu. My suggestions would be their Longaniza (a sweet sausage pictured below), Bangus (Boneless Grilled Milkfish pictured above), or their dessert called Ginataan or Bilo-Bilo (a warm dessert made with coconut milk). No matter what you try, you won’t be disappointed and you will leave full!
My mouth waters just looking at the pictures again. A small restaurant with big heart and delicious food. If you get the chance to meet the owner, he is the nicest person you will meet with many great stories. He made us feel at home and took care of all of our needs. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon. Thanks Uncle Mike’s Place for a great experience!
